MPUE Wins Parade Float Entry into the

Annual Winnipeg Santa Claus Parade

At the end of September MPUE submitted a concept design and proposal to the Santa Claus Parade Community Creation Contest.  The winner was announced on October 7.  It was with great excitement that MPUE received the phone call that our design was chosen as one of the winners. 

This year's theme is "Winter Wonderland."  MPUE based its design on the fairytale "The Snow Queen" by Hans Christian Anderson.  This story is very poplular in Ukraine and a beautifully illustrated book that is widely available was illustrated by Ukrainian Vladyslav Yerko.

MPUE has one month to build the parade float to be ready for the Santa Claus Parade which takes place on November 15 in downtown Winnpeg.  We are asking any volunteers that are available to help prepare the float to please contact the MPUE office or send us an email.  If anyone has any specialty skills such as carpentry, electrical, mechanical, prop building & design, painting, sewing, or theatrical, we would be thrilled to have you be a part of our team.
